  D-Day 63 today
Today is the 63rd anniversary of D-Day. The sacrifice of the Allied soldiers on the beaches of northern France meant that Europe was free from Nazi tyranny and western Europe escaped from Communism. We also moved beyond the ritual slaughter of millions in global wars as a substitute for diplomacy. We will remember them.

Comments:
We shall remember them. But some of us still do a bit of carpet bombing and a spot of strafing.

we wait for weeks, then three come along at once, can we expect another week's wait now?
