Shout out to the ladies
News reaches Parburypolitica towers that Hornsey and Wood green is a bit short of candidates for the up coming selection which closes today! This was a seat that had a Labour majority of 20,000 in 1997 but is now occupied by Lynne Featherbrain. Given that performance I wouldn't expect Barbara Roache to be restanding so it is for someone else to take up the baton.

Just as an aside ... why don't closing dates fall in some kind of diary so that if one dor closes for the three "ladies" still in the running for BG&B they could consider opening this one?

Uh... Been taking to many pills recently CP i see.
A bit more planning would have been welcome on selections like starting them a year ago like the tories who we have handed an advantage to as they have got their candidates in early.
I have it on very good authority from sources close to the Huq campaign that while flattered to be asked to put in a cv for the Hornsey and wood green seat she has absolutely no intention in any way shape or form of doing so as she is concentrating on Bethnal Green and Bow.
I don't know it might appeal to the other ladies on the Bethnal Green and Bow shortlist but the timing is really bad.
