  Thinking cap on
I'm having think at the moment about who to back in the forthcoming Labour Leadership contests. I don't think that it would be wise to rush in supporting the first candidate that comes along Tom Watson brings news that Benn is going to stand for deputy. This makes things alot more difficult. More on this later in the week.

Comments:
I'm thinking for leader Johnson and maybe Cruddas for deputy.

Our thoughts (and dare we say a few revelations!) on this here:

http://thedaily.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/benn-leadership-challenge/

Benn's a nice enough guy but there is no reason to think he has an agenda for the deputy leadership that will match Cruddas' appeal to the soft left.

He has earned a promotion in the next government but it would be good if the deputy leadership was more than another round of Westminster musical chairs.

Harder to say who will be in for the leadership at this stage.

Going to London on the megabus where I shall finish my thoughts on the matter if I have got time today I shall post them but as I have got class I suspect it will be Wednesday.
